1. Introduction & Family Privacy Commitment

SOLO Build operates Questeroo and Questeroo Parent. We believe technology built for children and families must maintain uncompromising privacy, safety, and transparency.

This Privacy Policy discloses the data we collect, how it is processed, and our strict compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR-K, and Google Play Families Policies.

2. Information We Collect

A. Parent Account Information (Parent Console)

When a parent registers an account, we collect:

  • Authentication Data: Email address and login credentials managed securely through Firebase Authentication.
  • Parent Profile Name: Used to identify the parent within the family management dashboard.
  • Family Structure: Pseudonymous child profile names, family invite codes, and device pairing identifiers.

B. Child Profile Information (Kid App)

To power the gamification and quest progress tracking, we store:

  • Child Pseudonym & Avatar Selection: Nicknames chosen by the parent (e.g., “Leo” or “Space Cadet”). Real legal names are neither requested nor required.
  • In-App Progress: XP, coins earned, completed quests, and avatar gear customizations.
  • Task Verification Proofs (Optional): When enabled by the parent, a child may photograph completed chores or homework. These images are stored in private Cloudflare R2 storage, accessible only by the verified parent account, and can be deleted at any time.

C. Android System Permissions (Kid App)

To enforce parental screen time boundaries, the Questeroo Kid app requires explicit Android system permissions granted by the parent:

  • Package Usage Stats (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Used strictly on-device to measure foreground app usage against limits set by the parent. Usage metrics are never shared with advertisers.
  • Accessibility Service / System Alert Window: Used solely to display friendly reminder pause screens when screen time limits expire or during scheduled bedtime.
  • Push Notification Tokens (FCM): Used to deliver instant synchronization between parent and child devices.

3. Strict Prohibitions & What We Never Do

  • No Third-Party Advertising: We do not display third-party advertisements in our Kid application.
  • No Behavioral Tracking: We never profile children or track activity across third-party websites or services.
  • No Data Monetization: We never sell, rent, or trade personal data from parents or children.
  • No Location Tracking: We do not collect precise GPS coordinates.

4. Parental Control & COPPA Rights

Under COPPA and related children’s privacy regulations:

  • Parents maintain full control over all stored family information.
  • Parents can review, edit, or delete any child profile, quest log, or photo proof at any time directly inside the Parent App.
  • Parents can revoke device pairing and remove permissions at will.

5. Account & Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated family data at any time:

  1. In-App: In Questeroo Parent, navigate to Settings > Account > Delete Family Account.
  2. Web Request: Visit our Account Deletion Page or email support@solobuild.site with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.

Upon confirmation, your parent account, child profiles, pairing tokens, quest histories, and stored verification photos are permanently removed within 30 days.
